Whey Protein Research
All about Whey Protein Research,
Whey Protein Isolate and Concentrate
Whey protein research tells us that this is one fast food that provides optimum nutrition and plays an important role in many womens health issues.
Whey protein is important for helping to turn fat into lean, toned muscle.
In addition, this complete protein also provides essential branch chain ammino acids. These are not produced by the body and must come from food such as whey protein.
Whey protein research is also studying the role of whey protein on prevention of heart disease.
Bulk whey protein comes in a large container and costs less than individual meal size packets.
You can mix almost any fruit, yogurt and juice into your whey protein recipes and find the taste you prefer. Some people like to add a half of a frozen banana. This makes the shake colder and smoother.
By doing your own whey protein research you will find which brand works best for you.
Some popular brands are Bioplex Nutrition, Designer Whey, Optimum Nutrition, Myoplex shakes, Solgar Whey to Go, etc.
Your editors have done a lot of personal taste testing in our own whey protein research. We've tried the good, the bad and the average.
Whey Protein Isolate
Some proteins are concentrates, some are isolates, others are blends. Our favorite is whey protein isolate.
Whey protein isolate is the most pure, most easy to digest protein you can get. It is not chalky, has very little flavor or texture, and dissolves completely so there are no lumps. With whey protein isolate, your protein shake is a pleasure to drink instead of a dreaded chore.
Whey Protein Concentrate
A close second is whey protein concentrate. It is almost as good as isolate and costs less. Find some that is fully "instantized" so it dissolves easily in liquid. That way it mixes well and tastes better.
When you are blending up a shake in your blender, add a tablespoon of
flax seed oil to your shake so you get some Omega-3 Oil - the good healthy fats. It also makes your shake taste more creamy and smooth.
Then drink it down along with a complete woman's daily nutritional supplement.
and you have done your body a great favor.
Whey protein research suggests that if you are on a weightloss and/or fitness program, protein should be part of your daily diet.
Many people like to have two shakes a day. One can be a substitute for breakfast or lunch. The other can be a between-meals snack or a replenishment after exercising.
Another advantage of whey protein isolate is that, because it mixes so well with liquid, you can more easily enjoy it away from home. If you are at work or the gym where you don't have a blender, you can put a scoop of the powder in a plastic bottle and shake it up with some juice or milk. Then rinse out the bottle. No mess.
Not all brands taste the same. Do your own whey protein research and let your own taste buds and digestion be your guide. If one brand makes you feel bloated, try a different kind. If one is not to your taste, give some others the taste test.
Some people like to take digestive enzyme supplements along with their protein drinks for optimal digestion of nutrients.
When comparing costs of whey protein products, divide the total cost by the number of servings. This will tell you your cost per serving.
For example, we recently found the five pound size of Bioplex 100% pure protein on sale for US $27.99. This product has 87 servings. When we divide $29.99 by 87 we see that our cost per serving is only about 34 cents. That is a good deal.
It pays to compare. Some products cost well over a dollar per serving. Why pay $1.34 when you could pay 34 cents? If you use one serving a day you'd save $365 a year. With two servings a day you'd save $730 a year.
Be sure that along with your protein you take a high quality women’s supplement with herbal extracts. |
